Collection: Gwen Ash

Gwenllien (Gwen) Ash trained in the arts in London, but now takes residence in Gisborne, New Zealand, which became her home in 2019.

Inspired by pop culture, colour, vibrancy and music, her love of stencil spray painting has taken her work to another level, where she showcases her paintings at Raukura Gallery in Picton and various other smaller galleries in the North Island.

Music plays a big part in her work, whether it’s painting her favourite musician, carrying out commission pieces, or to simply dance around her studio, shaking cans of spray paint while waiting for the many layers to dry on her stencil art. This is Gwen's happy place!
